IMAKE’s OpenVision Content Creator brings real-time streaming capture and digital encoding technology to local, long tail, and newly broadcasted content. Service Providers and Content Providers alike can monetize assets faster through Content Creator’s shorter delivery times, automated metadata workflows and scheduling capability. Content Creator’s Metadata Software and Encoding Suite ensures properly encoded content, valid metadata, auto capture and stream export, leading to increased transmission rates, shorter lead times for content creation and more accurate delivery and distribution. The IMAKE OpenVision Content Creator is an affordable, user friendly workstation or rack mount server that enables content providers to digitally encode, manage and edit content and associated metadata from a variety of sources, including DVD, DigiBeta VTR, Streaming IP and MPEG2 hot folder libraries. With automated features such as metadata and business rule validation, pre-populated templates, and distribution settings, OpenVision Content Creator is designed to reduce errors and maximize productivity. OpenVision Content Creator’s exported metadata and content have been validated by the largest service providers in the U.S.

OpenVision Content Creator is ideally suited for content providers preparing On Demand media–including advertisements-for distribution or pitching. The integrated MPEG2 Editor provides native MPEG editing for faster, higher quality editing compared to non-native editors. It is also suited for service providers that deliver locally-focused content to specific markets, such as News On Demand, Sports on Demand, Dating On Demand, and other revenue generating applications. OpenVision Content Creator is an open standards-based platform that integrates easily into your existing production environment. Designed to serve as the foundation for the successful creation, validation and distribution of digital media content, OpenVision Content Creator provides a clear integration path for asset management and pitching/catching.

OpenVision Content Creator features the same business intelligence and compatibility built into the OpenVision suite of products. Additional IMAKE products enable Content and Service Providers to easily add business intelligence into the content creation and distribution process to help increase operational efficiencies while providing a complete digital back-office solution.

Automated Workflow - OpenVision Content Creator automates CableLabs® compliant metadata creation, cable MPEG-2 encoding, digital stream capture and VOD asset delivery through custom templates, auto-populate fields, scheduling function, and workflow settings.

Support Revenue Generating Local Content and Ad Insertion - The IMAKE OpenVision Content Creator can be utilized to create revenue generating content like News on Demand, Dating on Demand, as well as to insert Targeted Advertising information through Trial Use fields and keywords.

CableLabs Metadata - Create CableLabs compliant VOD movies that include strict adherence to
the CableLabs VOD Content Specification 1.0 and 1.1 metadata templates. CableLabs compliant upgrades to 2.0 will be provided in a future release.

Non-CableLabs Metadata - Create non-CableLabs compliant On-Demand packages that have other formatted digital content (either from ingestion or from Transcoding – such as MPEG-4, H.264, Windows Media, etc.) along with non CableLabs compliant meta-data.

Repurpose Content - Using the integrated video editing tools, content providers can natively edit and repurpose content by ad splicing, inserting bumpers, trailers, advertising and overlay logo bugs and graphics.

Reduces Errors - Reduces errors and maximizes productivity by providing automated metadata
validation and enforcement of business rules such as automated asset ID, checksum and billing ID.

Minimal Training - Intuitive user interface and standardized templates with drop-down menus make it easy to encode content and create the associated metadata with minimal training.

Multi Encoder Capable - Interfaces with industry standard encoders from Optibase & Harmonic to ensure CableLabs content file compliance and a choice in the encoding hardware costs. MPEG-4 / H.264 encoder support coming in 2007.

Ingest External Metadata - Automatically ingests XML metadata from existing customer databases to reduce data entry time and errors. Other forms of ingestion can be supported, such as .xls with format specifications.
