Corporate History

Founded in 1993, IMAKE is the major provider of open, intelligent solutions and integration services that enable the seamless delivery of broadband digital media, Video On Demand (VOD) and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) to cable television providers, telecommunications companies and content providers.

IMAKE’s OpenVision product suite includes Asset Manager, Entitlement Server/Subscriber Management System, Pitcher/Catcher, Session Resource Manager, Content Creator, Ad Exchange and Streaming Broadcast Manager. IMAKE’s solutions currently ingest more than 3,500 titles per month and support more than 20 million subscribers in a live production environment.

Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, the company’s management team features more than a century of combined experience and holds multiple patents in the fields of multimedia and on-demand technologies.

IMAKE Timeline

 

2007 – Ad ExChange for Service Providers and Content Providers is re-released from IMAKE’s 200+ million internet targeted advertising and marketing solution of the early 21st century to its latest Open Systems targeted ad insertion for video.

2007 – IMAKE reaches 10+ million STBs under ‘Active’ and production level management with its premier Entitlement Solution and its ‘Always On’ 24x7 operations support team.

2006 – IMAKE announces Content Creator for both Content Providers and Service Providers. Content Creator is a low cost, high quality MPEG-2 and transcoding solution for CPs and SPs who have a focus on near real time digital content production along with best of breed meta-data creation.

2006 – OpenVision v4.0 is released in June 2006 – 4th generation product back office product for Service Providers and Content Providers with world leading workflows. Workflows that have been used for 4+ years in production by cable, telco and satellite operators.

2006 – IMAKE releases ‘Open Systems’ Session Resource Manager for true open systems solutions between Middleware and Video Servers. High availability, scalability, open systems with next generation cable and telco services accounted for.

April 2005 - IMAKE debuts OpenVision, a new software suite to replace its flagship e.merge product line

March 2005 - IMAKE launches Content Creator, an open standards-based software for digital media creation, management and editing

February 2005 - IMAKE announces industry milestone of supporting over 20 million cable subscribers

November 2004 - March 2005 - IMAKE adds to its executive management team with key new hires and promotions

2003 - IMAKE launches production Pitcher/Catcher which distributes over 3,500 titles of VOD and Ad Content to over 150 sites per month

2002 - IMAKE launches e.merge 3.5

2000 - Verizon deploys e.merge version 3.0 for VOD, Internet and Broadcast TV in the MDU market

1999 - Disney Televentures deploys e.merge version 2.0 in the content provider back-office and multiple Ameritech headends for NVOD and Broadcast TV

1998 - IMAKE contracts with 24/7 Real Media, Inc. to develop an integrated, next-generation ad serving technology platform

1997 - e.merge version 1.0, an open standards-based, back-office software suite for digital media management is deployed within Tele-TV and Pacific Bell for multiple MMDS deployments of NVOD and Broadcast TV

1995 - IMAKE works with Tele-TV Partners, Bell Atlantic, Nynex and Pacific Bell to deploy VOD solutions

1994 - IMAKE supports the first-ever VOD trials in the United States through the development of content distribution and subscriber management software for the telecommunications industry

1993 - IMAKE is founded
